How to use Aromatherapy to enhance your face creams

Frankincense is The King of oils and have been used for generations.
It supports your body at a cellular level.  Healthy cells = healthy you!

It supports brain function and neurological development, it has wonderful anti-inflammatory properties, improves memory, supports a healthy thyroid and it is great as an antiaging for skin.

Depression and anxiety is something that so many people are struggling with now, Frankincense is one of the top oils for depression and anxiety, people in panic decompress and calm down very quickly after inhaling Frankincense and it is always a good choice for anyone who has just experienced something traumatic.

You can use a roller on the back of your neck (near your brain stem) as needed throughout the day for relief.

If you don’t like the smell apply to the bottom of your feet in the morning, and in only 20 mins it’s in every cell of the body, promoting feelings of relaxation and balance.

Frank strengthens the immune system and is especially useful in cases when the immune system is weakened because of stress and depression.

It’s also good for asthma and bronchitis because it slows and deepens the breathing.

Now onto the anti-aging properties:

Frankincense works on the 2nd layer of skin helping with wrinkles, blemishes, scars, c sections, rashes and sunburn.

Pick a good organic Moisturising Cream base and we are going to enhance it with essential oils.

For every 100g of moisturizer base, it is recommended that you add 10 drops of essential oils for a Face moisturizer.

For mature skin, you can blend Frankincense with Patchouli, Neroli, Lavender, Frankincense, Fennel, Myrrh, or Sandalwood.

I found Patchouli particularly nice along with Frankincense.

The scent of Patchouli was used to mask the tarry odour of marihuana, so it was the signature scent for the hippie era. However, if we can leave this reputation aside is a fantastic oil for calming and skin regeneration. Good for inflamed skin, eczema, scars, chapped skin, and against infections.

Frank and Patchouli are great to regenerate skin and at the same time they are calming and grounding, which makes this cream ideal for night time.

For intensive treatment for damaged, dry or wrinkled skin, you can add special carrier oils into the cream: Wheat germ Oil, Jojoba Oil, Evening Primrose Oil, Rosehip Oil, Vitamin E. We usually use these special carrier oils up to 25% of the blend which in a 100grms is 25grams.

If you have normal skin blend Frankincense with Roman Chamomile, Lavender, Neroli, or Cedarwood.

If you have oily Skin blend it with Geranium, Rosemary, Sandalwood, Juniper Berry, Mandarin, Ylang Ylang, Cedarwood, Tea Tree, or Lemon.

If you have dry skin blend it with Roman Chamomile, Lavender, Jasmine, Cedarwood, Sandalwood, or Ylang Ylang.

For sensitive skin with: Jasmine, Roman Chamomile, German Chamomile or Lavender.

These blends protect your skin from the central heating during the winter nights. As they are home-made these blends have a due date of 3 months.
